Dayyan Armstrong lives from Brooklyn, New York where he’s been living since 2003. He studied at the New School University in New York City earning a B.F.A, B.A, in contemporary music and social science and holds a M.A degree in economics. He is the founder of the Sailing Collective Travel Co., an international travel company pioneered in 2012. Dayyan travels the world by sea as a captain and expedition leader, having a unique opportunity to take pictures in remote environments along the way. His travels have been featured in Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue, Esquire, Travel+Leisure, WSJ, among others. Dayyan is the co-author of Sailing the Seas Vol. 1 and author & photographer of Sailing the Seas Vol.2 (March ‘25 release date) published by Gestalten Publishing in Berlin with over 14,000 copies sold worldwide.
